Like students who graduate with other liberal arts majors, graduates with a BA in Asian Studies are prepared for many different career options. Foreign language competence, plus a knowledge of other cultures make Asian Studies majors highly valued in a variety of businesses and industries operating
in an increasingly interdependent international marketplace. By combining an Asian Studies degree or certificate with another major, students enhance their career prospects. Openings may be found with Cincinnati-area firms; federal government agencies such as the State Department; and nonprofit
organizations. The degree also provides a solid foundation for graduate studies in disciplines involved in the major, and for professional degrees in business, journalism, law, and international affairs.
