The Center for the Study of Democratic Citizenship is a small research
center consisting of five faculty members of the Political Science Department
of the University of Cincinnati. We have been up and running since 1991.
Our broad mission is to investigate the nature of citizenship in modern
democratic society. As our research Agenda has evolved we have focused
on four areas of concern which reflect the interest of our fellows:
1. The potential for new forms of democracy citizenship created
by the Internet
2. Political participation and political conversation
3. Exit polling
4. Local political parties and reforms in local government
